Nantahala River 1999 Trip
This page is of our August rafting trip in 1999 that we first time going rafting, so the Nantahala River was a perfect choice for them to learn on. With plenty of beautiful scenery and moderate resting time between sets of rapids. The picture above is from a post card of Nantahala Falls.
As we were getting ready to go down the river we had a passer by take this picture as a before shot. Pictured left to right are Annelle, Scott, Leslie and Herschell.
Herschell took a disposable waterproof camera down the river and took a few shots over Leslie's shoulder as we were going down the river.
This picture is as we were going down Nantahala Falls on the Nantahala River. In the front of the raft in the yellow shirt is Leslie. In the middle of the raft in the yellow shirt is Scott's mother Annelle Blanchett. Next to her in the blue shirt is Scott's father Herschell Blanchett. And at the back of the raft steering is Scott.
