This was Arthur's 50th College anniversary and he was inducted into the "Golden Graduates" . This is a very special section of the Alumni Association. At the banquet Thursday, lunch, he was honored with a lifetime achievement award. |

By accident we were seated with the Board of Trustees and they really made a big deal of it when he returned to the table after receiving the award. |

There was a buffet Thursday evening and two of his instructors were at the table with us who remembered him very well. He was the first male graduate from his School. He seemed to have a great time. He was surrounded by veterans, Doctors and Nurses. He was delighted. He took me out to the place that he remembers being the site of the house where ya'll lived at the time. We rode down town and he pointed out places of interest to him. He really looked good in his new suit and was so proud of it. He also looked great in his cap and gown. I took pictures for all of you to see |
